Wow im ready to march!!!! im so excited!! starting to count down sad this is my last year! but im glad to be a marching viking! thanks mr. hill!! luv all yall

Here is a topic of interest … the banners for this year’s show. Several of us are meeting at Matthew’s Market this Saturday morning at 10:00 (also the car wash thing is happening) to try and put this all together. Once a plan of action has been determined we will head to Tom Stafford’s shop and create it/them. I have a projector and the general layout on my laptop. I have been told and given several great ideas that are inexpensive and portable. Please chime in and let everyone know what your ideas are so we can all get on the same page.
I have added what files I have concerning the banners to our Web Site. Take a look and see what you think. Go to http://unionpinesband.org/boosters/index.htm under "Banner Files for '09 show". A special thank you goes to Peter Boorman for taking his time and expertise to create the design. We are still open to all ideas and input. Rob is concerned about cost. If I am not mistaken most everything can / will be donated. Hopefully we can get this done Saturday. See you all at Matthew's Market around 10:00 AM.
I am an Alumnus of Union Pines Marching Band. I think that creating a site on facebook and setting up a fund to donate for the D.C. trip would be an excellent idea. I know as well as myself, there are other alumni that would support the band.
We do have a page on Facebook. Feel free to join it! It's called "Union Pines Marching Vikings" There are already Alumni who have joined and have even posted pics! We'd love to see you there!h
